The fox steps one point in any of four directions or jumps over a neighbouring goose to capture it (jumps can chain); geese move forward or sideways but never back. The geese win by trapping the fox, the fox wins by catching enough geese. Play either side against the computer or two players.

狐狸沿线向上下左右走一格；如果相邻点上有鹅且鹅后面是空点，狐狸可以跳过去把鹅吃掉，落点还能继续跳就可以连吃。鹅每次只能有一只向前（朝狐狸方向）或向左右走一格，不能后退也不能吃狐狸。鹅群要互相掩护，一步步把狐狸逼到无路可走。The fox moves one point along a line up, down, left or right; if a goose is next to it with an empty point behind, the fox may jump over and capture it, and keep jumping if another capture follows. Each turn one goose moves one point forward (towards the fox) or sideways — never back, and geese cannot capture. The geese must cover each other and slowly squeeze the fox until it cannot move.
哪一方更容易赢？Which side is easier?
双方都走得好时鹅群占优，但鹅一旦出现空档就会被狐狸连吃。可以调整“狐狸目标”让对局更平衡：目标越少，狐狸越容易赢。With perfect play the geese have the edge, but any gap lets the fox chain captures. Use the Fox goal option to balance it — the fewer geese the fox needs, the easier it is for the fox.
鹅为什么不能后退？Why can't the geese move back?
这是这个传统游戏的规则，让鹅必须谨慎推进；也正因为这样，鹅一旦冲得太快就很难再补上漏洞。It is the traditional rule: the geese must advance carefully, and once they rush forward they cannot go back to close a gap.
