Jump Capture
Jump Capture online — the traditional Hawaiian board game Kōnane. Black and white pieces fill a 6×6 board in a checkerboard; each side first removes one piece, then every move is an orthogonal jump over an enemy piece into an empty square, capturing it, with multiple jumps allowed in the same direction. If it is your turn and you cannot jump, you lose. Tiny rules, deep calculation — three computer levels, two-player mode and undo.
In the opening tap the piece to remove; after that tap one of your pieces, then a blue landing square. Green dots mark pieces you can use.
How to play & FAQ
How do I play Jump Capture?
Black first removes one black piece from a corner or the centre, then White removes a white piece next to the gap. After that players alternate: a piece jumps horizontally or vertically over an adjacent enemy piece into the empty square right behind it, capturing it; if it can keep jumping in the same direction it may continue (or stop). No diagonal jumps and no non-capturing moves. Whoever cannot jump on their turn loses.
Why can I only jump, never just move?
That is the rule of the game: every move is a capture, so moves run out as the game goes on and the first player left without one loses.
How do I win?
Keep your own jumping chances alive while leaving the opponent's pieces isolated with nothing to jump. The Hard computer looks five moves ahead.
