如何使用「生辰八字起名（按五行喜用推荐名字）」？How do I use the BaZi Baby Name Generator (Birth Chart Five Elements)?
选择出生日期和时间（时间不确定可勾选，届时只排年月日三柱），填写姓氏、性别和名字字数，点「排八字并起名」。可以在两种五行推荐方法之间切换，名字会随之更新；点「换一批」看更多名字。Pick the birth date and time (tick “unknown” to use three pillars), enter surname, gender and length and click the button. 八字是怎么排的？How is the chart computed?
四柱按公历日期换算：年柱以立春为界，月柱以节气（立春、惊蛰……）为界，日柱按干支纪日连续推算，时柱按出生时辰（23 点起为子时）。计算使用开源历法库 lunar-javascript（MIT 许可），支持 1901–2099 年。时间按北京时间计，未做真太阳时校正。Year pillars change at Lichun, month pillars at the solar terms, day pillars follow the continuous sexagenary count and hour pillars the two-hour periods (23:00 starts Zi). We use the open-source lunar-javascript library (MIT), 1901–2099, Beijing time without solar-time correction.
「补缺法」和「日主强弱法」有什么不同？What is the difference between the two methods?
补缺法是民间最常见的做法：八字里哪种五行没有或最少，就在名字里用这种五行的字。日主强弱法先看日干（日主）的五行：同类和生扶它的五行占一半以上视为偏强，宜用泄、耗、克它的五行；否则视为偏弱，宜用生扶它的五行。专业命理还要考虑月令、格局、调候等，这里只是简化示意。Filling the gap uses whichever elements are missing or weakest. The day-master method looks at the day stem: if it and the element that feeds it make up half or more, it is “strong” and the elements that drain or restrain it are favoured; otherwise those that support it. Real analysis is more complex.
