Whip the Spinning Top
Whip the Spinning Top online — the traditional Chinese whipped top, kept spinning with lash after lash. The top slows down over time and a marker swings back and forth above it: lash when the marker is in the green for the strongest whip. Off-target lashes make the top wobble and may knock it out of the ring. How many seconds can you keep it going? Beat your own record.

How to play & FAQ
How do I play Whip the Spinning Top?
Once spinning, the top keeps slowing down and falls when the spin reaches zero. A marker swings across the top of the picture: lash in the green and the spin jumps up and the top stays steady; in the yellow you get a smaller boost; outside, the top wobbles and drifts sideways, and drifting out of the ring also ends the game. Lashing too fast doesn't help — the whip needs time to come back. Your score is how many seconds the top keeps spinning.
Where does the whipped top come from?
Whipped tops have long been played across northern China — wooden tops lashed with a cloth whip on ice or bare ground in winter, known by many local names.
