Edge softness adds a transition band beyond the tolerance where colours are replaced partially, avoiding jagged, hard edges.

“保留明暗层次”是什么？What does Keep shading do?

开启时，新颜色会继承原来像素的明暗：原图中较暗的阴影部分替换后也较暗，高光也保持较亮，所以给衣服、汽车、Logo 换颜色看起来更自然；关闭时所有匹配的像素都变成同一种纯色，适合扁平图标和图表。勾选“替换为透明”时该选项会禁用，因为透明像素没有颜色层次可保留。When it's on, the new colour keeps each pixel's light and shade: darker shadows stay darker after the change and highlights stay brighter, so recolouring clothes, cars or logos looks natural. When it's off, every matching pixel becomes the same flat colour, which suits flat icons and charts. The option is disabled while Make it transparent is ticked, because transparent pixels have no shading to keep.
