Arrow keys, WASD, finger swipes or the on-screen pad; optional fog mode that only shows the area around you, route hints, a timer and best-level records.
Move the red ball with the arrow keys or WASD; on a phone, slide your finger across the maze (keep dragging to walk cell by cell) or use the pad below. Reach 🏁 to clear the level — the next maze is bigger. Visited cells keep a light trail. H shows the route for 2.5 seconds, N starts over.
How to play & FAQ
How do I play Maze Runner?
Each level is a randomly generated “perfect maze”: there is exactly one path between any two cells, with no loops or closed-off areas. Start in the top-left corner and find the way to the flag in the bottom-right corner. Each level adds two cells to the maze size. In fog mode you only see a few cells around you, which tests your memory and sense of direction.
Is there a general way to solve mazes?
The classic wall-follower rule: keep one hand on the same wall and keep walking. In a maze without loops it always reaches the exit, though not necessarily by the shortest route. Every maze here is loop-free, so it always works.
Does showing the route cost anything?
No penalty — it simply draws the shortest route from where you stand to the flag in orange for 2.5 seconds. For a real challenge, skip the hints and turn on fog mode.
