How are the coins read?
Three coins: back = 3, face = 2. Total 7 = young yang (one back), 8 = young yin (two backs), 9 = old yang (three backs, moving ○), 6 = old yin (three faces, moving ×). Old lines change and form the changed hexagram.

Jing Fang’s eight palaces give the palace and self/other lines; each trigram carries its Najia branches; the six relations compare each branch’s element with the palace element; the six spirits start from the day stem (Jia/Yi Qinglong, Bing/Ding Zhuque, Wu Gouchen, Ji Tengshe, Geng/Xin Baihu, Ren/Gui Xuanwu).
