「八皇后」怎么玩？How do I play Eight Queens?
皇后可以沿横、竖、斜任意走，所以每一行、每一列只能有一个皇后，而且任何两个皇后不能处在同一条斜线上。一个好方法是一行一行地放：在当前行找一个不被攻击的格子，如果后面的行放不下了就回头调整前面的皇后。8 皇后共有 92 种不同摆法，换个起点就能找到新的解法。A queen moves any distance along rows, columns and diagonals, so each row and each column can hold just one queen and no two queens may share a diagonal. A good approach is row by row: put a queen on a safe square in the current row, and if a later row has no safe square left, go back and move an earlier queen. There are 92 different solutions for 8 queens — start somewhere new to find another.
提示是怎么工作的？How do hints work?
提示会在保留你现有皇后的前提下找一个可以完成的摆法，并帮你放下其中一个皇后；如果现有的摆法已经无解，会提醒你移走皇后。A hint keeps your current queens, searches for a way to finish, and places one more queen for you; if your layout can't be completed it tells you to remove one.
为什么 6 皇后只有 4 种解？Why does 6×6 have only 4 solutions?
N 皇后问题的解法数量并不随 N 平滑增长：4 皇后 2 种、5 皇后 10 种、6 皇后只有 4 种、7 皇后 40 种、8 皇后 92 种。The number of solutions doesn't grow smoothly: 2 for 4 queens, 10 for 5, only 4 for 6, 40 for 7 and 92 for 8.
