字素是看到的一个字符（👨👩👧 算 1 个）；码位是 Unicode 字符编号的个数（它由 5 个码位组成）；UTF-16 码元等于 JavaScript 的 string.length（8）；UTF-8 字节是存成 UTF-8 文件的大小（18）。A grapheme is what you see as one character (👨👩👧 counts as 1); code points count Unicode characters (it is made of 5); UTF-16 code units equal JavaScript's string.length (8); UTF-8 bytes are the size when saved as UTF-8 (18).
