The N in Page 1 of N is the last number shown, i.e. the number of numbered pages plus the start number minus one.
双面打印的“奇偶页左右交替”是什么意思？What does the double-sided option do?
书籍和双面打印的文档通常把页码放在外侧：奇数页（右手页）在右下角，偶数页（左手页）在左下角。勾选后选择“左侧”或“右侧”位置都会按页码的奇偶自动交替；选“居中”时不受影响。Books and double-sided documents usually put page numbers on the outer edge: odd (right-hand) pages at the right, even (left-hand) pages at the left. With the option ticked, a left or right position alternates automatically by odd and even number; centred positions aren't affected.
自定义格式怎么写？支持中文吗？How do I write a custom format? Is Chinese supported?
用 {n} 代表页码、{N} 代表最后一个页码，其余文字原样显示，例如“第 {n} 页，共 {N} 页”“Chapter 3 – {n}”“{n}/{N}”。中文、日文、韩文会自动嵌入所需字形的字体子集，其他文字使用 Helvetica。Use {n} for the page number and {N} for the last number; everything else is shown as written, e.g. "Page {n} of {N}", "Chapter 3 – {n}" or "{n}/{N}". For Chinese, Japanese and Korean a subset of a suitable font is embedded automatically; other text uses Helvetica.
横向页面或旋转过的页面会放错位置吗？Will landscape or rotated pages be numbered in the wrong place?

If a page has a crop box, the number is placed inside the visible area.
